Experts of the “United Technologies” company, together with scientists of paleontology studies from the Lviv State Nature Museum, have successfully finished the computer reconstruction of the woolly rhinoceros as well as its natural habitat on the territory of Podсarpatje. As the result of the reconstruction, a 3D-model of the woolly rhinoceros and a stereo picture (in the size of 1200x1000mm for the museum exposition) were produced.

The quality of the reconstruction was highly recognized by staff members of the museum. They were sure that the picture of the woolly rhinoceros will have an effect on the visitors. This three-dimensional multicolored picture of the animal together with a landscape, which is created on the plane lense-screen with a thickness of only 4 mm, is visible to the naked eye. The picture of the woolly rhinoceros creates an exciting feeling of reality. The woolly rhinoceros seems not only to hover in the air, between the screen and a viewer, but also it seems to be touched.
